I wanted to go for GBM in humber for 2 years. I have a B.Sc.IT degree with 68% plus 7.5 yrs exp out of which 3 years is as a manager and the rest is as an analyst and service executive. However I had some backlogs and I appeared more than once for some subjects for a re-exam. How many backlogs are ok to apply under the SPP program? for eg- If I appeared for a re-exam for maths(unable to clear it in 2 goes) thrice and for accounts(unable to clear it in the first re-exam) twice would that be 2 backlogs or five?

The agent who i accounted refused to file an application for me.She said it is not possible to apply fo canada with 47.55 %(3rd Div) in my university exams which i started in 2007 and finish on 2010 and I have i think 3 backlogs.
Before that I completed my 10th exams on 2002 with 65% and 12th exams on 2004 with 60%.
Then I started working immediately from year 2005 and pursuaded my graduation in year 2007.Plus also i have done one year diploma for aviaton and tourism from Air Hostess Academy in which i got Grade A.
Total work experience of 6 years I have in aviation field.
But now i am planning to complete my Post Graduation in canada but i am facing the percentage prbm….Is their such law which dont allow average student to go abroad and study?I really wanted to know what i can do….and as in your previous reply u said i can apply.pls suggest me if you can.

I had got the LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE from FanshaweCollege for PG – Information Security Management. On the site its showing A One-Year Ontario College Graduate Certificate Program and 15 week terms but on letter that i received from college its showing only 8 month course.

PG diploma courses are runned in Colleges, Govt. colleges and not in Universities. In Universities you will get Master’s Degree.
Since you are mechanical Engineer you can either go for some specialisation in mechanical like heavy mill wright, Automation course or for Master’s in mechanical.

You can apply by getting a good score in IELTS and GMAT,if there is any specific reason for a low percentage in X ,you can mention that in SOP.If you study and perform well in the Course applied for Canada ,you can have better job prospects.

For MBA 3 important criteria are taken into consideration by university:
Experience (3 years minimum) + GMAT (600 above) + IELTS 6.5 with no bands less than 5.5
IF any of the above requirement is missin then geeting into MBA will be difficult. Though there is 1 options which does not require experience and GAMT but then seats fill very fast in that University. Vanvouver Island University.

Yes you can study MS in Canadian Universities. But some of them require GRE also. So You might have to prepare for that also.

For MBA in Canada, experience is a mandatory requirement. If you really want to do MBA then get some experience and give GMAT. 99% of the colleges require both. There are very limited options in Canada without GMAT and experience. All the top Universities require both.

That’s not the case. Visa success depends upon many conditions like: right choice of course, IELTS score, Funds shown, Backlogs, Study Gap etc. If all the conditions are perfect according to the rules of Embassy then Visa will not be a problem.
On less then 2yrs of duration of course you will get Work Permit equivalent to that and if the duration of the course is more than 2yrs then Work permit will be of 3yrs. Regarding PR as soon as you have full time job offer you can apply for that. This differs for each province in Canada. You can study Financial planning if you wish to make career as financial planner or advisor. This is a very good course to work towards CFP.
For higher studies abroad, it’s important for you to select a course that adds value to your existing qualification and work experience. Second you should upgrade your qualification. Having relatives in Canada does not influence your case in positive or negative way. Files is processed for its own conditions which you should meet. English is a very important component for higher studies in Canada. If your score less than 6.0 band unfortunately you will not be able to go to Canada for higher studies. A Post Graduate Diploma is more subject specific than business administration. If your experience has been managerial/ supervisory level and you are going for studying one of the valuable MBAs, it will add value to your previous qualification and work experience. However if that’s is not the case, you should study an appropriate post graduate diploma course.

January is a minor intake in canada. Not all the programs start in January. Seats are also limited for this intake hence admissions get filled very fast for this intake. There dental programs which start in January primarily at under graudate level. There is no specific IELTS score requirement for visa purposes in the USA. However if your are aiming at getting admission in high grade university you need to improve your score. Have you given SAT exam. Your SAT score can add lot of value towards admission.

I am savan from gujarat, india. I am in a problem. I applied for canada study visa at 4thmay in spp but my student visa got rejected at 9th may.
Reason for refusal:
I will not come back from india.
my parents do not have sufficient income.
my selected course is not releted to precious studies.
I passed my 10th with 59% and 12th science strem(phy,bio,chem) with 44% and done advance diploma in computer hardwere and networking with 78% from private institute.And have 2 year work experience in same field.

I told my ajent to change course direction and college and askd that can we show more funds. He told me every things seems ok and

First of all you should not have applied under SPP category in the first instance as you have very less marks in class XII.
In the second visa file under general category, there is usually a lot of scope to explain yourself and guide your visa officer through to your intentions. It’s the best place to explain yourself and make visa officer understand your intentions of going to Canada. You do not seem to have conveyed the same to the Canandian High Commission. With the limited information that you have provied its very hard to say that if you will get your visa this time. It all depends on how clearly you have conveyed your message to the visa officer. Have pateience and wait for the decision. You may get an interview opprotunity. All the Best!
