Analyze the reasons for visa rejection
If you are worried because you have Canada student visa rejection or, if you are among one of the students, whose visa has got rejected under the high volume of visa rejections for Canada, we recommend you to analyze the reasons for visa denial cautiously. - You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay because:
- You have not demonstrated that you are sufficiently well established in your country of residence.
- Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following : your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India (the country of the applicant) or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.
- You have not satisfied me with regulation 179 that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period.
- You have submitted documentations which lacks credibility as part of your application. This has diminished the overall credibility of your submission.
- You have not provided documents that demonstrate the relationship between you and your sponsor (other than your parents).
- You have not demonstrated that your sponsor will provide adequate support to cover the cost of your studies.
- You have failed to comply with our request for an interview. Based on the information provided, you have not satisfied me that you meet the requirements for issuance of a study permit.

Common SPP visa refusal mistakes
SPP visa guidelines are brief and precise. A clear understanding of the guideline is extremely important. Visa rejection reasons usually have a standard language. SPP rejections happen primarily due to:
1. Poor documentation
Canada high commission expects documents to be arranged according to guidelines. A single wrong documentation can become a reasons for visa rejectedTo your surprise, one of the most common mistake is “overdoing the paperwork”, so do your documentation properly.
2. Over explanation of case
Another common mistake is over explaining the situation when it is not required.
3. Wrong visa category

That is absolutely wrong. if your mom is able to support you fully then embassy has no problem. Only the thing is that you have to inform about father whatever is the situation (Eg. Separated, Death, not much income than mom, unemployed etc) and why he is not sponsoring.

You can apply for any other country. As your rejection is not based on fraud docs or activity it will not matter much.Your Gaps are increasing so decide fast.
If student visa was rejected twice , can we apply a third time under SPP program?
If not can we apply a third time again, Financial resource was the only reason for rejection.

You should not apply in SPP, try in general category. It’s better to give IELTS once again and get 6.5.

Visa depends on overall profile and visa file. As you are already a masters you should have strong reason to study post graduate course from Canada and have to write a statement of purpose accordingly.

I am applying for may- 13 intake, already got the offer letter & given ielts (6.5 Band with 6 minimum) i have Three queries as follow :-
1) My Consultant asking me to file for a visa before 15 Feb as GIC might get mandatory after 15 feb ?
2) Can i take a education loan from one bank to submit my fees(7.5 L) & another loan of 5.5 L from other bank to show it as a Living expense ? Is it legal ? Will it create any problem while applying for student visa under spp ?
3) i checked with VFS office , SPP guidelines & IDP office everyone is saying GIC is not mandatory till now is it possible to mandate something like this without notice in between of a session ?
GIC is already mandatory from may intake there is no deadline, please do not submit your application without GIC.

Your profile seems to be overqualified, you should have a very strong reason to study. Visa will not be very sure for Canada . You can apply in Aus or NZ

If you have 2 rejection then you should not try again for canada because your visa may not be possible. You can go to Newzealand for level 7 course and you can 1 year post study workpermit as well.

SPP colleges only give PG Diploma courses and not Master’s. With so much of good experience and marks I think you should opt for Master’s. IELTS 6.0 is low to get better options, at this score options are very very few. I would request you to appear for IELTS again for much more options to chose from.

Rejection does not depend only on 1 particular reason. If your other points are strong irrespective of open degree then your visa might come.

Yes you are allowed to apply under general category after spp rejection, regarding getting visa i cannot comment on your case untill i see the proper file. If you have made the file as per the guidelines and all your marks are 50% above then you might get the visa.

I am a Business management graduate and I am planning to do a graduate diploma program in Accounting. The issue is that My university don’t issue Term wise marksheets and only provides a consolidated marksheet which is not acceptable by the canadian immigration. However as I contacted my university, they told me they can provide a official letter stating that they don’t issue any term wise marksheet but only a consolidated one which is subjectable for any official verification. I want to know whether that official letter will cover the enough documentation as I have no other way around.

Visa depends on various factors like academic background ,funds ,course applied,study gap if any,backlogs ,documents submitted in Visa file etc.Without having the complete details it is difficult to assume anything.

I have heard for Post graduate and bachelors SPP rules have change since September 2012 intake. They require 6.5 overall score in IELTS and 6.0 in each section

I have done diploma in Electronics engg from India and passed it in 2011 june with 61% overall and 70% in final year particularly. I had total of 10 backlogs but, cleared all of them within the time domain (3 years).
Thereafter I came to UK for BEng Electronics – direct entry to second year in sept 2011 but did not manage to pass in the second year due to wrong selection of course. Now – I’ve got an offer from centennial college for doing a Electronics engg relevant advanced Diploma course.
My IELTS runs till july 2013 and scores are L-9 , R – 7.5 , W – 6.5 , S – 7.5 with an overall of 7.5 bands.
I want to apply under SPP category for JAN 2013 intake.
My questions are :-
1. Will my backlogs in Indian Diploma – although cleared within time – will affect visa decision ?
2. Will my failure in the UK in a Bachelors degree program be considered as a negetive point ?
3. I have a valid visa as a student for the UK which runs until 2014 – will that affect ?
4. I was doing Bachelors in UK but will be doing Advanced Diploma in Canada – which will NOT be a case of academic progression although country wise education systems are totally different – will that matter for visa application ?
5. Will my failure in the UK (duration 1 year) will be considered as a GAP in education which is not recommended ?
6. If I am eligible, what would be the chances of getting a visa under SPP in such a complex matter ?

Regarding FTS (correct name is GIC), date has not been announced yet.
Marks in 10th are quite low, it might or might not create a negitive effect. Keep your other things strong like: funds, visa forms, relavent course, college reputation, SOP. To get Visa, Embassy looks at a overall profile not at 1 reason.

I have passed out my +2 in non-medical with 65% this year with physics,chem,maths,english and physical education subjects. Also my ielts score is overall 6 bands not less than 5.5 (Reading). Moreover my parents ITR were of 9 lacs (mother and father).
please tell me why my visa got rejected without rejected without any particular reason . What to do next ? Should I apply for Jan. 2013 under general ? If so then please tell me that approximately how much funds I need to show for it ?

Yes you can go ahead with Jan intake under general category.
Reason can be anything- the way you have filled the forms, loan amount, documentation work etc. Apply again with proper guidance.

I am not satisfied with the decision and have following to say:
· That I was offered a place to study the proposed program after careful review of my academics and one to one interview by the Niagara College’s admission officer Mr. Tushar Chawla during his visit to Lucknow on 15th March,2012 & 14th June, 2012 .I was also given an option to study General Arts & Science Diploma but I accepted Mechanical Engineering Technician program because of keen interest in this field & more because of the scope of employment back home after completion which is many folds more than the General Arts & Science program or any other program to that matter.
· Since I was meeting the admission requirements of the program in terms of English & Maths( Maths grades in Year 12-66 & IELTS overall band score of 6 with no band less than 5.5) so that is why I was offered a place to study the program .
How ever I was not aware that the Student Visa department has different set or requirements.

See Visa rejection does not depend only on college and course or only IELTS. It depens on various factors like Documentation work, Funds shown, Application form, sponsors, SOP so everything has to be as per the guidelines to get the Visa.

After 2 refusals visa chances decreases a little bit. You can take a chance though once again with diffrent course and college.

Sadly my visa got refused as the officer doubted that i wouldn’t come back and also mentioned that the course that i chose was irrelevant according to him compared to my graduation which was in Mass Com. But my profile was very strong as my scores have been great academically and my ielts score was also 7.5 overall with all above 6. I really wish to go there and do that course as its a specialization. My parents and I are not satisfied and have decided to appeal. Appeal process is not very fruitful, it is recommended to apply again for better chances of Visa.

sir, i had applied for canada under spp in business finance diploma on 30 july 2012, but it was refused as the reason is stated that your academic record is not up to mark.. canadian embassy see total grades or percentage of all subject..they see that the student is getting 55% or above in 12th in total and i got 59% butthey refused…i have studied from internet and also taken information from some persons that canadian embassy will access new rules of seeing marks of all subjects individually..theywill see that the student is getting above 50 in all subjects or not but in my two subjects i got less than 50..Canadian embassy said they will start this rule from 1 sep 2012 but they had regulated in august only without giving any notice..now sir i want to ask that can i apply again after giving improvement test and scores good marks in that two subjects or not??
See rejection does not happen only on one reason. There are atelast 2,3 reasons involved most of the times, not always but most of the times.
After giving your improvement test if you will prepare your file as per the guidelines, if your course is relevant then only visa chances will increase.

I had twice F1 visa reject to US on March 2010.

I am Harpreet Kaur. I have just came back from UK (was on student visa) after year and a half. I have studied Post graduation diploma in business administration (April 2011-12) there. I have got A grade in this course. I have got Diploma in Web designing (short term course) from Xplora Design Skool.Before this I had completed my BBA with 87% marks (2007- May10). I have also got my IELTS 6.5 with minimum of 5.5. In year 2010 I had also applied for canada under SPP program but it was rejected because my IELTS was about to expire at the time of visa application. After getting rejection from Canada I applied for UK and I got the visa. I came back from to India there within my visa. I got a lot of improvement in my English during the time which I spend in UK, thats why I want to attempt IELTS again and want to apply under general category for Canada. I think now you have got the visa for UK, you should complete your studies in UK and then move to Canada for further studies at the same time you can improve your IELTS ofcourse.

Gap will not be a problem if you explain that why there was a gap? you would be required to put the medical papers for reference and explain in SOP.

Wait for 2-3 days more your Passport will be dispatched. Processing time is 15 days under SPP. There is lot of work in Embassy right now, so have patience you will get it soon.

Visa depends on the lot factors like: Documentation work, individual bands in IELTS, SOP, Funds, Gap etc. If all the things are right then Visa might not be a problem, Visa is all about overall profile not one or 2 facotrs.

If you are aiming January2013 intake then I am afriad you have to appear for your IELTS again, because as per the new rules- CHC requires overall 6.0 bands with no band less than 5.5 and you have 5.0 in R, which can create a problem in Visa.
Other than this your marks are pretty good, show the required funds, fill your visa forms properly and you have not mentioned the couse in which you have got the admission.

1 year gap can be considered under Spp, but i will be able to guide you if you shaould apply under SPP or Genaral once i know all your academics, IELTS and funds.
For 2013 you may apply 4-5 months prior.

After 2010 you were doing certifications and Diploma’s so that is not a gap. You were busy doing something. Put your NICT and LINUX certificate in your visa file. It will be covered.
Gap is not a problem if you will show the documentation work.

1-You are already a B.tec passed student and Diploma also and you were again goin for the same course. Did you checked the course content of the ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (FAST TRACK) course, I am sure half of the subjects you must have already studied. So that is why your proposed program was not logical.
2- 2nd point is not clear please write the full sentence.
You can apply again with diffrent course and college. Be careful of the subjects this time.

Yes general category require medical certificate. If that operation is heal now, there are no effects left of that operation then it should not be a problem.

We would recommend you to appear for IELTS again. Since you are already an MCA so going for Diploma course might be a problem, you have to explain in your SOP well that why do you want to go for this course?

If in IELTS none of the band is below 5.5 and all your academic percentages are above 50% then you can apply. IF you have got previous visa rejection then apply under general category.

Its very difficult to comment about your case as you have not mentioned on which grounds your tourist visa was rejected.
hi am racheal i have a second class degree in Quantity surveying i got admitted to NIC for a post degree diploma in Business Admin a one year program but unfortunately i was denied the Visa because the visa officer thinks my sponsor has insufficient funds previously i had paid only for one semester i was wondering that if i go ahead and pay for the entire year and resubmit my application will i stand a chance>
You have to pay whatwever amount college has mentioned on the offer letter. If they ask for one semester fees, then no need to pay the whole year fees.

Visa depends on overall academics and whole visa file. As you seems to be a good student academically you can mention about the reason of scoring less in writing in your Statement of purpose.

If you chose Student Visa as an option then:
You can apply under General Category for better chances of Visa. If you are going to study in an University then your file will be under University Category. Your Visa chances will all depend on which course you chose, how much funds you show, what docuemnts you put in file etc. Prepare your file as per the guidelines and write a good SOP.

No as you said that you final year degree is from EIILM UNIVERSITY , so admission will not be a problem . In Canada its recommended that you should not show third party funds .

For General visa application they take minimum 3 weeks to take decisions , and visa depend on the fiel how you have prepared that cant be judge like this , we need to check each and every document of yours to tell you about your visa .

i am going to submit my case for this upcoming september 2012 intake for canada under the spp program .I have already been granted admission in the college .My ilets band score is 7.5 nt less than 6.5 in the four modules.Education requirements are also been met .There is no study gap or any paperwork problems but back then when i was a minor my parents applied fr PR (canada) and a visitor visa(canada) but were unfortunately refused .Now during the filling up of the visa form ,a question regarding this situation is asked and i wanted to know that whether it would affect my case because they applied these cases when i was a minor (9 years old). Can that old refusal have an negative affect on my spp file ????

I got an offer letter from Northern College of Applied arts and Technology for the certificate program (Diploma) in Plant Automation and Data Logging and Sept 2012 would be the first ever batch in whole canada as this course is new and started by the above college only which integrate enviroment and computers studies together.
I am paying full fees of 13835 CAD and have taken Education loan of INR 5 Lakhs from bank.

What you think about Visa will be granted or not?
Your bank loan is low. Increase the amount if possible. We would recommend you to file your case under general category, write your SOP well. Explain properly and clearly about your future plans in that.

I have got the loan for FD which i have provided. The bank has provided the loan which is education loan for the given amount of FD. This education(from FD) is diffrent from the actual education loan which i need to provide for study VISA in canada. Will it effect the procedure of VISA ?
If it is an Education Loan and if it’s clearly mention on the Loan Letter then it will not effect the Visa.

I have all the mark sheets but i failed in a subject in my 3rd semester, however I passed in the second attempt and successfully completed the course. Will this affect my application for study permit ? Also, my uncle will be providing all the funds, he has prepared an affidavit stating that he will be be providing all the funds for my studies unconditionally and got it notarized. Will this work or do I have to provide any extra documents to prove that he is my uncle ?
1 backlog will not effect your application. That’s acceptable.
Regarding funds: In Canada it is recommended that your blood relations (Parents/siblings) should be the sponsorers. You have to provide the documents for proof of the relationship (Sponsorer).

I have querry regarding my son. He completed his 12th (Intermediate) in June 2011 with 64%. For two months he took coaching for IELTS. In February 2012 he sat for IELTS exams and in March 2012 his IELTS results were declared. He got 6 Bands verall. Hello, I finished my high schooling in 2009 and I joined an university in India. I was studying bachelor of engineering and I am discontinuing it. I am applying for the bachelor of business administration in UFV canada and I have received my offer letter. Do you think my visa will get rejected doe to the fact that I have discontinued my engineering course. Also note that I cannot produce any mark sheets as my university only hands them out after I have cleared all the subjects in every semester.
If you hide your previouse bachelors you will have to give stong explaination to justify your gap.

See with the information which you have given visa will be a problem if proper documentation is not done. 17 backlogs is a big number, embassy generally does not accept so many backlogs.

i got 6.0 band in ielts and not less than 5.5 and completed bba degree . I have applied for pg diploma course in lambton college , canada for may intake…under spp program…..Will i get a visa confirmed or not.
Visa success does not depends only on IELTS score many other factors are also taken into consideration like: Funds, academic marks, documentation work , SOP etc. If everything is in proper order then Visa will not be a problem.

i applied study visa for canada under SPP and my visa has been refused due to a reason =>>”which is that Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of the following : your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, other educational opportunities available in India or Canada, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.”
Now plz tell me there are any chance to get visa under General category with this reason, or i need any improvement in may IELTS band score.

I am Tina James. Could you please guide me. I passed out 12th securing 64% in 2011 and than joined BBA 3 years degree. But, in February I sat for IELTS EXAMS and scored 6.0 Bands. I applied in Centennial College (SPP) in 3 years Hospitality and Tourism Administration Diploma and received my admission for May intake. Now, my question is:- I have one year gap, what to be the reason to be filed in Visa Application form. My parents are going to arrange Ist semester fee from their own sources, and 9 lakhs I would be showing as education loan again FIXED DEPOSITES of Rs 12 lakhs. Is these funds are ok to be shown?
Further, as processing of VISA application takes 20-25 days under SPP, would it be appropriate to ask Centennial College for extension of my course commencement for September intake? Please Advice.

You should have a very strong SOP mentioning a genuine reason for leaving BBA nad joining Diploma in Canada.You can defer the Course for September intake.
