Western Australia is most buoyant state about jobs
WEST Australian employers are the most confident about hiring new workers over the next three months, according to a new national survey.
Recruitment agency Hudson Global Resources released its latest Employment Expectations report today, showing WA remained the most buoyant state, with 43.9 per cent of respondents expecting to add new jobs, a drop 1.3 percentage points from the preceding quarter.
Employers planning to cut staff dropped 1.1 percentage points to 3.7 per cent, the lowest in the nation.
WA led the other resource-rich state of Queensland, with 37.6 per cent of employers expecting to put on new workers, up 2.2 percentage points.
Both outstripped the national average of 21.7 per cent, down four percentage points.
Hudson WA general manager Bruce Henderson said employment in the state was being driven by mining and resources investment.
"Jobs are being driven by new projects that are still under construction, as well as existing assets that are expanding or in ramp-up mode," he said.
"This is creating additional demand for roles in a wide variety of industries that support the mining sector."

Easy Australian visa for Indian students
Minister for Immigration and Citizenship on 15 February 2012 has announced a reduction in the visa assessment level for India and Nepal which are two among the 29 countries. Student’s going for their higher studies under new assessment level will be required to show fewer documents towards the issuance of their student visa. English proof and academics requirement will also be easier.
Assessment level has reduced for the Subclass 574 which is meant for post graduate research level students.
New Assessment level will come into effect on 24th March 2012. Students applying after 24th March2012 for visa for Masters by research or PhD will be assessed under new AL1 assessment level.

Australia woos Indian students with scholarships
The nine universities in the state have agreed to provide a full tuition waiver to Indian students, and the scholarships will support living costs and education-related travel. Ten scholars from India will be awarded 90,000 Australian dollars (about $94,400) each to pursue their Ph.Ds from varsities in Australia's Victoria state starting 2012.

Study in Australia without IELTS - possible with alternative tests
